Designing the final approach into the Port where there is a drop in elevation down to
sea level and therefore requires extremely careful planning due to the size and
weight of each train. The design must ensure that the railway system and the trains
themselves can operate at optimised efficiency with minimal wear and tear to all
components of the project but with obvious concern to maintenance of the railway
line, locomotives, and ore carriages.
