One intelligent point about the Republicans refusing to back the Moto Bailout, is their insistance that Union Workers take a pay cut.
Seeing as these overpaid, underproductive, overprotected, porcine putzes are one of major base causes of Moto Towns woes I am all for it, any destruction of unions is good for business, and whats good for business is usually good for Joe the Plumber as well, though without his Union he will more often than not have to actually earn his crust with an honest days work, and that is good for everybody.

Lower wages + Higher productivity = lower prices across the board.
