    I sent an email to the company more than two weeks ago to either confirm or deny if discussions were taking place and I have heard nothing from them.

    My guess is that it's either investor relations is very crap or very tardy, or they are deliberately remaining silent because there is something going on but they don't want to say anything until they've got something to say.
