Thanks for that background. Frankly you should have realised that it would be a long time span to market. That is not Silvio's fault. Far from it.

The science is sound. What you are grumbling about is the state of the market which in Australia at least, is yield-obsessed.

You should also realise that markets which move on low volumes (such as MSB) are easily manipulated.

Blue chips are a joke, especially buying at the peak of the market like some in here urge...for risk aversion(!). What a joke!! You pay through the nose for uncertainty? Marvellous strategy of the supposedly 'low risk' variety that madamswer spruiks in here. In reality, there are plenty of risks with blue chip stocks. WOW and CBA and BHP ably demonstrate.

No need to be a bunch of suckers, and pay out on ourselves just because the market has punished MSB...for the time being. Plenty of predators watching and waiting for you to do just that.

First you look at finding a high growth sector, and a decent stock, run by decent people in a high growth sector and wait out the bad times. Just because MSB hasn't recovered previous highs doesn't make it any less likely that it will develop into a very high yield stock. To believe it will not, is simply superstitious. Be real. Nobody said that MSB would go to market immediately. Biotechs have long time frames.

Some in here like to confuse ordinary outlooks with 'promises' and then they become 'broken promises'. All just strategies to wear the ordinary shareholder's resolve.

The only times a buy and hold strategy doesn't work is
    1. if you select the wrong stock (with no realistic upside potential), or
    2. you sell too early at a loss.
    3. the market turns bearish and you freak out and

    any combination of the above.

Sensible people don't only have a single stock in their portfolio and don't obsess if time lines are longer than they had hoped.

As you point out, hope is not an investment method, but irrational fear is an extremely poor one.

Thanks but I don't know what to do with the rest of your post. I suggest you stop crying about delays and get more realistic about where this is going long term.
