Great news on the PRESCHE project by QHL as we all would agree.
This announcement stated "This has assisted in securing Quicksteps first two automotive contracts, with manufacturing expected to commence in early 2016".
Assumed at first glance this represented the yet to be announced automotive contracts with Holden and Thales (Hawkei project).
Media reports in response to this announcement are indicating otherwise. The consensus is that a contract with Audi has been made on the back of the PRESCHE project completion.
Nevertheless, the expansion of the Geelong premises (dedicated Automotive facility) is in progress and scheduled for completion at the end of this year. Coincides with the commencement of manufacturing in the new year for the first two automotive contracts.
Now for the announcement of the next stage of expansion at Bankstown, Sydney anticipated in the next six to eighteen months.
When this eventuates, it is guaranteed to precede the announcement of new major aeronautical contracts secured by QHL.
