Not a great analogy. They didn't and still don't fly prototypes down streets filled with pedestrians or packed with passengers.
This is not about it being a foreign concept, it is about public safety.
Are you saying there is a requirement for these to be driven on the public streets to confirm if it will or wont kill pedestrians?
Sounds like expedience for the sake of profit, but I am willing to wait on the actual confirmation of cause.
