IMO, we ought to be using our strengths and global competitive advantages rather than harping on about our weaknesses and “can’t do” attitudes.
In today’s globally competitive world exacerbated by
FTAs which has exposed our manufacturing workforce to 3rd world labour rates and working conditions it is futile to attempt to be economically viable in business areas dominated by multinationals . We simply hav e to work better and smarter than them and , IMO, we can do that
with the assistance of a government that is not beholden to the multinationals.
IMO, the answer is SEZs designed to overcome our weaknesses with the dividends shared equally among all Aussies; not just a few.
