autralian road maps???

    This week the world was treated to the following terror news items:

    Chechnyan suicide bombers kill more than 60 people in two attacks;

    Al Qaeda (we think) suicide bombers kill more than 90 people in Saudi Arabia and more attacks are threatened;

    Abu Sayaf kills 15 in the Philippines;

    Jema Islamiya threatens further attacks in Indonesia.
    But something is missing: there are no 'road maps' to peace.

    Nowhere is there any word of Russia, Saudi Arabia, the Philippines or Indonesia being forced into negotiations and being required to make concessions to these groups.

    As is widely reported this morning, these 'militant' organisations pose a threat to the entire region, so shouldn't we be talking about giving them something? Maybe Western Australia?

    If the world is pressuring Israel to give up some of its 22,000 square kilometres to calm Yasser Arafat, Mahmoud Abbas and his cronies, couldn't we spare a bit of our 3,000,000 square kilometres for world peace?
