As you have suggested, BRE acquired ground in the vicinity of AUZ for $15m which is considerably smaller than AUZ's landholding. If their team of geologists and experts were all-knowing, why did they not peg these tenements prior rather than pay a premium to acquire them to an opportunistic middle man at a later stage?
The fact is, the ground that AUZ now holds has already demonstrated strong signals for IAC rare earth mineralisation based on the field work undertaken to date. gemdector (thread creator) has posted an excellent break-down of what we know of the geology.
