Trust has nothing to do with 'skin in the game'. Did Mr Bond have skin in the game? Skase? Holmes a Court? The directors of Slarer and Gordon? Babcock and Brown? Lehman Brothers? The Directors of Australian banks?
Trust, of course, is important but has no relationship to 'skin in the game'. It has more to do with values and ethics. You might also ask yourself 'how can we trust someone who has a vested interest against someone who is disinterested'?
