This won't be a problem for AUZ, so long as they acted in good faith and didn't do anything negligent in the deal.
Sounds like someone stuffed up on the Metallica side, so Metallica will have to cop whatever the damages are.
If the royalty impacts AUZ they will be able to sue Metallica for any losses.
Besides, I would have thought that, if this was a problem for AUZ, they would have to have announced something today, in keeping with the continuous disclosure rules.
