AUZ - Sconi BFS

I've had a quick scan of the Sconi BFS to see their assumptions on the scandium potential of that project and unfortunitly they have given it minimal attention.

They've assumed Sc2O3 pricing is a flat US$1,000 over the lifespan of the project and despite producing 1600 tons of Sc2O3 over the 18 year project they only assume annual sales of 10 tpa and revenues of A$14m from total annual revenues of A$512m. Details such as production cost assumptions, the capex for the scandium circuit, what happens to the other 1,420 tons of scandium oxide produced and the form it is to be stockpiled in have not been detailed as they were in the CLQ - Sunrise/Syserton DFS.

So little focus on scandium in the Sconi project, very much seen as a minor by-product of another proposed high capex nickel laterite project. The positive thing about it for PGM is that their low capex optimised PFS would still be the most probable scandium focused project to get up and running in a reasonable timeframe.

Fingers crossed for a viable Owendale DFS soon and if there also just happened to be an offtake/funding agreement announced at the same time hang on to your hats!
