Availability of funds

I was hoping somebody could explain to me the financial report that was just submitted stating there was only $1 million in cash reserves, but stating that was 40 million in assets and reserves

does that mean they have $40 million or do they only have 1 million
I am unable to interpret the financial report and find the whole complexity of the reports they give, as in the language that the common man cannot understand

can somebody please tell me how much money the company has in cash reserves
as I cannot see how they can raise more money without taking on a major investor or selling or amalgamating
I think it is possible that lake will buy them out, or they will amalgamate with like
