Can't say I go to movies to reinforce my political views, or pick and choose what I view based on ideaology. Happy to watch programmes on both the far left and far right - especially if they are thought provoking.
I saw Avatar and quite enjoyed it - story line was very standard (cliche characterisations etc.) but thought it was visually impressive. Saw the Hurt Locker as well and agree it was a good movie, but didn't think it was quite up to the hype. A lot of the critical praise was based on how tense the atmosphere was, whereas I didn't quite feel it and thought it fell a bit flat in places as well - still good though.
Cheers
