The CPSA are trying to determine how “sticky” the support base is, which under the circumstances is a worthwhile exercise. We can all speculate what we believe the shares are worth, but when the chips are down and pressure is on, human nature typically means many minority shareholders will stubbornly stick in at least until they get their money back.

Giving the guys at CPSA a lecture may make you feel good, but they’re simply trying to do the right thing for the majority and are dealing with lots of different shareholders who have various attitudes and opinions on the company.

I am not directly involved with the CPSA but my conversations with them have always been positive and they appear aligned with RC’s vision. They have my full support and I would encourage all to be as cooperative as possible, especially at this time and over the next 18 months as more predators start circling for the prize at a cheap price.

A lot has been said about the request to disclose your SRN/HIN information, which rightfully should make people wary. Providing this info allows the CPSA to do 2 things;

• Verify the holdings you have to help them understand their real support base
• Vote on your behalf as a proxy, if you decide not to vote

If you don’t want to give this info, then simply don’t (put in all zeros or your phone number), but sign up just the same. Be honest with the other info however, and if your holding quantity or contact details change then please advise them.

Alternatively once you sign up you will get an e-mail newsletter which has the names and contact details of one of the founders. If you feel inclined, ring him up and have a chat. Or google him, very easy to find his info. Better yet, attend one of the next info sessions they organize annually.
