SS - this may be close to what I think you mean.
The end result would be a very small profit, but you would now have an average at 48C. Of course it is predicated on buying in at the bottom of the downtrend - a difficult knife to catch at times :-)
However your max funds at risk would be less than $20k compared to the straight average down example of $180k.
