Companies have to be making profits to benefit from a tax free period. So for this to be of any benefit to LYC holders LYC has to start making money and pay off any interest then capital on the debt. It has taken a decade of mining the wallets of longs for them to get where we are today.

That is basically profitability is yet to be proven and that equity and investor value has declined is well recognized by commentators and the market generally but profitability should be proved if all goes well in 2013. With even a rate of 3% they will need to find A$15milliom pa plus start paying back the loan capital of at least A$65million before they look at profits and dividends.

I hope you guys are right with your optimistic view and that the RE margins can support this profit because I have skin in this stock and would like to see a change to a bullish trend confirmed when the market finally agrees with you.
