I wonder if Mus will surprise us with an inventory of 500 000 carets? suppose also have to factor in time to cleaning and grading as well as transport it to Mauritius.
One thing for certain the auction going to be interesting then next year even more so.
Gemfields made 54m from 900 000 carets at there last auction but as it was pointed out Gem had a lot of low grade industrial rubies MUS has a better quality inventory so sales should be good.
This auction aside and looking at the bigger picture with MUS planning to upgrade the ruby plant and auction rubies 3 times a year it is very likely they can start matching the $280 revenue from the auction sales a year or higher not to mention the Graphite that is also lurking in the background.
