If you are looking to trade in and out, then timing of PFS matters a great deal. If this has been cooking for 2 years and you want to hold for another 2 years, then the precise timing becomes much less important. The longer you hold, the less overall noise there is and less variance in your outcome. Shorter time periods will have a lot more noise and variance because you are trying to be a lot more accurate. Long term holds are blunt in nature, you just have to be on the right horse.
