Hi DrowningNotWaving,
I’m hoping AVL will have its’ pick of eager backers!
Some reasons;
•The model demonstrated by Queensland with Copper String (Richmond Vanadium) sets a very recent orecedent for significant support from government,• That critical minerals agreement from last year between Australia and the US seems tailor-made for vanadium.• The battery tech for Vanadium Flow Batteries is improving all the time,• I’m trusting/hoping the big Yadlamalka battery in South Australia that’s now been operating more than six months is demonstrating excellent functionality (that will mean the smaller Horizon pilot AVL is putting up in Kununurra (the next announcement?) effectively just a ‘stalling mechanism’ until things get more established at AVL.)• And the two projects being merged solves a problem that has been repeatedly said was a real ‘sticking point’ with funders previously!*• Also we have major project status• And the BOD and management have great credentials.• The fact RCF is on board to the tune of more than $30m is another ‘great credential’ ( It was able to bring Australian Super on board to help takeover Altura and pass it over to Pilbara Minerals !)
Harking back to the ‘sticking point’ of bankers previously keeping their wallets shut, the merging of the two projects gives a mine life potentially greater than 25 years according to this Chamber of Commerce and Industry article shared by AVL on X a few days back.

The final section highlights the stuff many private potential funders most want to hear :
Project to deliver mine and processing
The AVP will potentially produce 11,200 tonnes of vanadium pentoxide over a mine life of at least 25 years.
It is also aiming to produce an iron-titanium co-product and, at a separate manufacturing facility, vanadium electrolyte.
Arvidson says there is potential to increase production and/or the mine life beyond the initial 25 years.
"AVL's 'pit-to-battery' strategy offers Australian downstream processing and manufacturing potential, with associated job creation," he says.
"The vanadium flow batteries are a long duration energy storage technology which is robust, nonflammable and scalable. It is one of the solutions required to enable the renewable energy transition”.
Note the BNP Paribas report for Bushveld last May stated clearly noted a key factor for getting funding is a project with a mine life of at least 20 years.

But who?
…And what an *ouch* it will be if my logic turns out to be as faulty as my number skills!
cheers
