I know they’re not as frightened of annihilation as they might have been due to sharing Christmas lunch with a lovely young scientist who works closely with AVL and with the YN community members who are concerned with keeping the balance of life around their ponds, clay pans and subterranean waters as undisturbed as possible during the 50 years of heavy mining that’s looming adjacent to this fragile world.
I know they say the devil is in the detail -
To this; my source was very genuine, and says Graham Arvidson seems very genuine* as well - (*described as a refreshing, somewhat rare departure from the tokenistic disinterest applied to environmental concerns by many mining CEOs {who seem to believe that if you can’t easily see it, it’s not there].)

…. And I just felt pleased with both the professional assumption the vanadium mine will proceed, and that - in around half a century - the environment will be restored to as close as possible to what once was, and that, meantime, the little denizens of that world will have a trustworthy guardian system.
