Very bad budget announcement for AVL. The $150m Kalgoorlie battery was the kick-start AVL needed to confirm its strategy and prove capability to enter to big battery space.
Instead of a project made for AVL, we get a "$50 million Local BatteryManufacturing Program for grantsand low interest loans to supportlocally produced residential andindustrial batteries." as a substitute. AVL will surely get some, but it'll be mostly nibbled away by competitors and other battery technologies.
Thanks Labor.
Struggling to find any positive sentiment for AVL in the next 12-24months unless the V-price takes steroids.
