Frederic0 I am pretty sure the government cannot announce funding for a specific project before government has approved the project !

If it is to be AVL’s Lumina that's chosen to support the ailing Kalgoorlie grid then how can the government publicly approve money for the project before the company has even announced its Final Investment Decision?

I am hoping future public funding from WA comes under this part of the budget announcement:

Economic infrastructure

• $500 million additional investment in the Strategic Industries Fund
  (SIF), taking it to $1 billion over 10 years.
• SiF funds will be used for Strategic Industrial Area common user infrastructure, including $13 million allocation to upgrade Kwinana and Kemerton Strategic Industrial Areas.
