Meanwhile we closed at 1.6c on Friday and the price has dropped 20% in three weeks since the merger and the company is clearly in a crucial ‘orphan’ stage with off takers and financiers and government reps and contractors all talking to each other and themselves and the board.

… And I’m just genuinely amazed that some here want to start ditching board members just as we’re (hopefully) moving into the next phase of moving towards bedding down the best choices out of all the possibilities out there.

Yep that would make some of those public attention capturing headlines some want!
Here’s a possible template for what the media will be chasing :
Three weeks after merger new vanadium company loses three board members .
All but one the three women members of the board have been ditched after shareholders complained the board was ‘inflated’ and that they had no direct vanadium experience.
“‘Yes I’m quite surprised,” said Miriam Stanborough, who was last year awarded the Order of Australia for significant service to the minerals and mining sector and is chair of the WA Minerals Institute as well as being a NE director at ASX200 company Pilbara Resources and more.
“The shareholders did the numbers and decided I was extraneous.”

When do you think this review of the board should happen Troy ?
The normal procedure for voting strikes against directors up for re-election is at AGMs …or do you think they should drop everything and call for a special meeting sooner?

I really don’t think that ‘reviewing’/deleting board members right now is something on which the focus of this company should be.
I don’t need any numbers to convince me otherwise.
I think the media would love it but I don’t think the potential offtakers and financiers would like it at all.
So why make it an issue ?

The same to anyone who wants to diss the board !
They’re all we’ve got at a crucial time, and if anyone thinks they can do better let them stand for election in a proper way rather than waffling in with nameless backstabbing !

Too be fair now that their have be some resignations the costs have come back in line to what could be justified as reasonable.

The initial AVL+ board and management costs looked extreme during the cross over of lets say last year and then into the merger.

An updated company presentation and hierarchy would probably ease the concern of all staff and contractors.
