They could get serious if they really wanted too, something like land developers/new estates must have x number of solar panels per house, and a large vrfb servicing that estate to store generated power for load shifting until night time..
There really hasn't been any truly proactive policy making if they are serious about zero emission power, but something like this ensures every new estate can be close to self sufficient..
As long as there is a single megawatt being generated by green sources but wasted due to lack of storage, then vrb's have a hole to plug. Hopefully for AVL it's a build it and they will come scenario, give decision makers and enery companies zero excuses to overlook australian technology and resources. Do we need to solely make Elon Musk richer?
