Karara does use the rail from Mullewa to Geraldton port, the loco's pull 100 wagons, approx 7000 tonnes of iron ore. The upgraded section is from Mullewa south to Tilley, this section was used for grain only until the Karara mine started.
I agree probably nothing will happen at Oakajee until hydrogen/ammonia is exported.
