Most if not all vehicle manufacturers favour full electric to hydrogen for haulage. If you google hydrogen trucking or something similar you will find loads of articles about it.
Essentially it comes down to the fact you have energy losses producing hydrogen which you don’t have charging a battery, and then when you put your foot down the losses are also lower from full electric in comparison with hydrogen.
realistically the first AVL vanadium will be hauled with diesel if the project begins production within 2-3 years. There may be electric or hydrogen vehicles on site. Using fossil fuels for the processing of minerals (I.e. gas for kiln, diesel for haulage) that helps with the renewable transition until the technology catches up isn’t a bad use of fossil fuels we have left.
