On 2 July 2024, Shanghai Electric Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Shanghai Electric Energy Storage") and Japan's Energyflow Co., Ltd ("EF") signed a 2MW/8MWh vanadium flow battery energy storage project in Shanghai.

(hereinafter referred to as "Moyudu Capital") and others witnessed the signing ceremony.

It is reported that Japan Energy Flow is a Japanese energy management company that plans to build a series of megawatt-level energy storage facilities, among which the first project is a 2MW/8MWh vanadium flow battery energy storage power station, which will be used for power auxiliary services such as valley power peak use and spot trading in the Japanese power market. This project will be the first grid-connected energy storage project of Shanghai Electric Energy Storage in the Japanese market. It is also the first MW-level vanadium flow battery energy storage project of Shanghai Electric Energy Storage in the foreign market. It has a milestone significance and has a typical empirical role and demonstration significance for the subsequent development of energy storage project cooperation in the Japanese market and other foreign markets
