pronounces and equality are just one part of the bigger time and money consuming endeavor called ESG Consultants need to be hired, reports need to be generated, employee's spending time in task groups and more meetings. etc.
When you ask how much time is spent on it...let me give you an example of things you don't see from the outside. I work in the manufacturing environment in NSW and since Labor has won the election here, ESG has become pretty much mandatory (at least when you have the state as a customer) taking up a growing amount of considerable resources. Everyone of our O's (CEO, COO, etc) has become a owner of certain implementations of ESG now, From there it goes down the chain through the whole company. Employees are elected spending (all up days) in group activities researching and brainstorming. Meetings are held with presentations and suggestions. More meetings on what and how to implement things. More consultants hired to assist. and so on. .All up..it is a lot! specially if you consider that most of it is "case based" which renders it a virtue signaling exercise at its best.
but since we are at the mercy of our bureaucratic overlords atm, as sad as it is, I would consider AVL's participation an unavoidable and probably necessary move.
