I am stepping back and taking a look at the bigger picture. I have held both AVL and TMT I bought in as a fan of Grid Batteries, and the logical conclusion of Vanadium flow batteries.
I bought prospective vanadium mining companies and I lent towards TMT and thought it was the better of the two mining companies.
I had the view until earlier this year that AVL had the cart before the horse.
I no longer have that view. AVL is going to be a battery manufacturer with the back up of moving into miner which is ok with me while the price of vanadium is where it is. I would expect an adjustment on the price once the momentum builds for the batteries.
Australia is going gangbusters with building renewables but seems to me to be lagging behind on backing up with batteries. Is itr the COST ???? I am starting to think that I would be interested in investing in a company that was supplying grid batteries on a lease basis rather than a sale and think that there are companies that would rather lease than buy. I will let the accountants elaborate on the financials, and why leasing is better than buying.
Also do not lose sight of the fact that despite all the derision surrounding the first big batterie in South Australia it did pay for itself in 2 years.
    I am holding the line.
