Australian Vanadium Limited (AVL) proposes to develop the Australian Vanadium Project mining and beneficiation operations (the Proposal). The Proposal comprises mining of vanadium ore, and initial processing of the ore (beneficiation). Inputs to the process are vanadium ore (oxide, transition and fresh ore), power, process water and reagents. Outputs from the mining and beneficiation operations are waste rock, tailings, and an enriched vanadium-iron concentrate. The concentrate will be subject to further (off-site) processing to generate downstream vanadium products suitable for steel and energy storage markets.
AVL is working towards commencement of construction in mid-2022.
