I had a good look at this when its SP fell a month or two ago.

My concerns included its weighting to avocadoes. Consumption has been increasing since back in the day- but so has production. Economics 101. Production has tripled in little over a decade- and there is more production to come.

CGC exports some of this produce but, the reality is, it can be grown more cheaply elsewhere- including New Zealand, South America and Indonesia. The industry cannot demand an end to imports.

The thing for me is that I quite like avocadoes but I could only eat so many. They have been on sale at $1 each often enough that I cannot bring myself to pay much more for them.
