AVO's target Statement Response is childish, and very unprofessional. This kind of trip actually does them a dis service. I would never want to own shares in a company with a board that would publish an official response like that.
This is not a school ground slanging match - "reality check needed" - very disappointing. We want relevant facts and some counter argument. Not - The price was low before we bid for it (forget the fact that we were at the bottom of the biggest share price slide this side of the great depression) so our bid must be good. The whole bourse has risen 30%+ since AVO bid - even without AVO bid the price would be confidently in the 50's.
Not even worth reading. If anyone was unconvinced about the quality of management at AVO before - this type of statement reflects them accurately. I hope they take notice.
