ABC Online; The future of Fiji's military commander is hanging in the balance, after another meeting with the country's Prime Minister and Acting President.
Ratu Joni Madraiwiwi chaired a two hour meeting between Commodore Frank Bainimarama and Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase this morning over the army's threat to forcefully remove the Fijian Government.
After the meeting, neither the Acting President nor any one else ventured to disclose the meeting's outcome.
The meeting came as Commodore Bainimarama fired his deputy, Colonel Jone Baledrokadroka, accusing him of insubordination.
The army chief told newspapers at the weekend that the colonel refused to follow orders and had threatened to shoot him.
