I've been very aware of brushing against people for the entire time -
it's a clear as crystal obvious source of transmission - if someone is in an infected household - their clothes and basically everything is going to have bazillions of virus all over it --
there's really no mystery there - the slightest thought of it at any stage would have told someone that.
It's why public transport is so much riskier than private transport etc etc.
many times in the past years I posted a study project that was done to see how fast a virus spreads in an office multi storey block - the test virus (non pathogenic) was put on a handrail on the steps leading to the main entrance -
in a ridiculously short period of time - that virus was found on every floor of the building and in almost every room in the entire building -
within hours
brushing past people in the street or being in the same location - basically opens everyone up to the background flora of the area -
that's absolutely common knowledge - why it's news now
