This kind of research has become valuable for me as I’ve found there is a huge vote of confidence in the direction of the company when top share holders are supporting it with their own money by massively increasing their holdings.
I have done some hard yet satisfying research by working through every change in sub holder or placement through capital raise over the last three years from reports directly from AVW website. I’ve focused mainly on the top 2 share holders that matter the most Jason Peterson of Sunset Capital and Celtic Capital and Mathew Walker of Great Southern Flour.
30th November 2017 - Board Changes and new management elected replacing the old guard with now David Deloub
27th June 2018 - Jason Peterson buys 67,000,000 shares in capital raising through CPS capital under Celtic Capital
27th June 2018 - Mathew Walker buys 75,000,000 shares in capital raising through CPS capital under Great Southern Flour
31st March 2019 - Stated in quarterly they are looking for an acquisition
2nd May 2019 - Mathew Walker of Great Southern Flour buys another 25,000,000 shares with a total of now 100,000,000
6th June 2019 - Mathew Walker of Great Southern Flour buys another 25,000,000 shares with a total of now 125,000,000
30th July 2019 - Stated in quarterly they are looking for an acquisition
5th September 2019 - Mathew Walker of Great Southern Flour buys another 10,000,000 shares with a total of now 135,000,000
13th September 2019 - David Wheeler joins the board replacing Jonathan Back
8th October 2019 - AVW acquires Patterson Ranges tenements as alluded to in the previous quarterlies where they stated they are looking for an acquisition.
23rd December 2019 - Jason Peterson buy another 23,333,333 shares with a total of now 97,166,666
17th March 2020 - Sonu Cheema joins the board
17th March 2020 - Marks a day for an entire change of board since 2017
28th May 2020 - Jason Peterson buys another 25,000,000 under Celtic Capital and just under 3,000,000 under Sunset Capital, he now has 100,000,000 under sunset capital and 25,000,000 under Celtic Capital with a total of 125,000,000
28th May 2020 - Stated in announcement they are looking for an acquisition. “The company is currently evaluating additional high impact acquisition opportunities within the precious and base metals sectors consistent with the company objective of adding shareholder value”
6th July 2020 - Mathew Walker shares are diluted from placement from 135,000,000 to 130,000,000
5th August - AVW states in the prospectus on page 21 that funds may be used for an acquisition.
1st September 2020 - AVW divests all QLD tenements to use funds for exploration projects in WA
18th September 2020 - Mathew Walker of Great Southern Flour buys another 20,000,000 shares on market at .8 with a total of now 150,000,000
Between 30th July quarterly with top 20 and latest top 20 in the annual report issued on the 30th September 2020 - David Vigolo buys 25,000,000 more shares bringing his total to 50,000,000
10th September 2020 - Jason Peterson took his initial placement of options under Sunset Capital for 18,000,000 options for $18,000 and then with the short fall bought another 40,000,000 under Sunset Capital and another 35,000,000 under Celtic Capital to the value of $75,000 extra options bringing his total options to 103,000,000
10th September 2020 - Many other sophisticated investors buy up short fall of options including funds manager based in WA “Merchant Funds Management Pty”
30th September 2020 - Under the annual report many new sophisticated investors show up in the top 20
October - Acquisition? Surveys? What’s Next?
Solid new management plus deal makers in the form of Jason Peterson and Mathew Walker taking this in the right direction.
Looks to be setting itself up for something big.
