Like I said. These price actions will not encourage new investment to go into the lithium space. Lithium mines take on average 8-10 years to be in full production. Demand is growing exponentially.
My bet is the world does not reach its climate targets. Due mostly to their failure to invest in lithium (and to a lesser extent other battery minerals). Plenty of battery makers will be idle / running at low capacity due to this. Currently the actual prices have only risen - if they start to drop sharply for absolutely no reason (similar to the SP of every lithium hopeful / producer on the ASX) then this supply gap would only get worse.
A real shame, but that is the eventuality awaiting the world
