I read the article as I was enjoying an early morning latte. I have no issue with AVZ engaging a local to help secure the mining licence provided dealings were kosher. It's standard business practice. It's clear Tom Richardson is gunning for ANZ & Nigel but the story as presented in the AFR is largely benign. Just my two bobs worth & I while I'm a holder, I have never hesitated to call out Mgt if I thought it was warranted. As I say, it's a relatively benign story but if Tom Richardson's aim is to create an impression of a stench about Nigel and the company's dealings in DRC, then he may have achieved his aim.
