Before I talk about mid term it is important to note the present.

AVZ as we all know is waiting on ML and other related announcements.

We also have a gap c.10% below Friday's close.
Bots and other manipulators use this.
Personally, I think gaps are boll...s, but what I think doesn't matter. They are real and they are used. Even if the gap is not closed or even touched, some will not buy and maybe sell on the assumption that they can buy cheaper. This state of affairs is then used for accumulation.

However, falling volume indicates that this game may presently be delivering diminishing returns.
In a nut shell, I expect little movement prior to pre-ML run.
If ML drags on though, weak hands can become nervous nellies.

So excluding (imho) the unlikely possibility that a correction or large fall/ collapse does occur before ML, we will probably bounce around at the lower end of the area between ATH and the gap, ie around where we finished the last few days.

To answer your specific Q.

Euphemisms are oft quoted but rarely directly relevant.
A crash would probably lead to almost universal falls due to panic selling.

However, the metrics of AVZ are beyond doubt.
Ironically this may lead to a savage sell down in order to accumulate on the cheap. That tactic would inevitably work.
In an environment of expensive credit and severe financial stress people make silly decisions.
Pay off your huge and expensive mortgage when your job is at risk or hold a falling stock?

SP could fall a long way before fundamentals kick in.
Personally, if I see a big fall coming in the very near future I'll sell most or all, hoping to buy cheaper but fully aware that it could kick upwards quickly.
However, capital would be protected.
