If I've got this correctly, in March 2016 GXY signed an initial offtake agreement of US$600/t for 60kt of (minimum) 5.5% spodumene concentrate, with the price to be renegotiated later in the year.
Then in December 2016, GXY announced an updated agreement for US$830/t @ 5.5% increasing $15 per 0.1%, ultimately selling 120kt of 6% lithium concentrate @ US$905/t.
Now in April 2017 another producer has secured US$1000/t @ 6% for a minimum 100kt per year of lithium concentrate.
~38% price increase for 5.5% Li2O in the 9 months to December, and 10% increase for 6% Li2O in the 4 months from December to April.
It all sounds very bullish.
I haven't been following the lithium market as a whole. Have there been any other notable offtake agreements signed in this period?
