'stranded asset most likely following in mll footsteps'
No evidence for this; just pure unsubstantiated downramping from you!
Talking about substantiated evidence, I understand why the DFC government is so keen to have AVZ's project fast tracked by having a special economic zone(SEZ) established at Manono.
BTW, I wouldn't blame them with AVZ having the largest, high quality lithium deposit on the planet on par with the Global leader Greenbushes. Current producers(e.g.PLS) do not have the size, quality(grade, recoveries, impurities, cost to produce) to meet the huge upcoming demand for high quality lithium to service the electric vehicle/energy storage revolution.
This is why YibinTianyi are in the process of completing a binding offtake with AVZ to meet this future demand.
'with future staged expansions expected
to increase production to approximately 100,000 tonnes per annum, making
Yibin Tianyi’s plant one of the largest hydroxide suppliers in China.' PRESS HERE
And Stranded, what rubbish...plenty of transport options, and many large, successful mining companies like Glencore and Ivanhoe transport their product out of the DRC.
