Katanga Regional Project (AVZ 60%)


The Katanga Regional Project comprises seven exploration licences within the mid-Proterozoic Kibaran Belt in the south of the Democratic Republic of Congo, known to host lithium-bearing pegmatites.

The licences are in three clusters within the Katanga province. The first cluster (of three licences) is about 100km south/southwest of the historical Manono mine surrounding the town of Mulongo; the second area is a single licence 50km east of Manono; and the third cluster of three licences are about 250km north/northeast of Manono. The licences comprise an area of about 1,172sq km.

The licences are relatively unexplored and are considered prospective for lithium, base metal and rare earths.


Now AVZ has three projects:

1.Manono Project (60%, 188km2).

2. Manono Extension Project (100%, 242km2)

3. Katanga Regional Project (60%, 1,172km2)
