I respectfully disagree, i dont see any indication or likelihood of the house being cleaned. IGF in its investigatory and advisory capacity has issued a report denouncing Cominiere and others - have you seen any prosecution with them or CAMI or the MoP or anyone else over this issue? Even the guy caught on video seeking mining bribes has been released and seemingly isnt being prosecuted. Deals are being made with the likes of the Gertlers who have basically been openly corrupt and who yet remain influential, and people like Cami DG who remain in power despite having been dismissed years ago.

I think the corruption campaign claims are purely window dressing, and with elections approaching the chance that FT is going to risk alienating powerful political players in a sweeping cleanse of mining related departments is surely near nil.

If we wait until the DRC (yes, the DRC) cleanses its departments of corrupt officials to progress our project - then that will never happen.

maybe im wrong and there are major moves happening in the background but I doubt it, highly highly doubt it, and think the view youve presented here is blinkered and overestimating the government's capability and willingness to act on this deep-seated, endemic and thoroughly entrenched problem area.
