You wouldn't have a clue if AVZ have solid form to hold onto the North, or if it's truly gone. Neither would I.
However, reading AVZ nnouncements, it would apprear that the people who would know the most about it, have made a statement that the north belongs to AVZ. Though they might be planning on using that position for a greater bargain, eventually giving it up, or perhaps they want to keep it. After all it legally belongs to AVZ 100%
