Forgot to mention, as you correctly mentioned above, conversion of option is not a capital gains tax event and no capital gain disclosure is required.
TwistedChippys advice above is incorrect.
AVZO option will only result in capital gain event, if:
1) AVZO option is sold on before exercise date, that is, 24 May 2020, or;
2) is not excrercised and expires on 24 May 2020 (no longer in the money or worth anything, deemed sale for $Nil). This case, will result in a capital g
ains loss equivalent to the AVZO option purchase price.
