For other oppie lovers like myself, or those considering investing in these, here's a summary for you of how and why I buy into these.
AVZO
Exercise price: 3c
Expiry date: 24th Oct 2020
Why oppies:
Oppies provide excellent leverage.
Of course it works in reverse too but if you have a rising share price + a long time to expiry then it minimises risk
If AVZ hit 50c, the scenario below for a $100k purchase applies;
AVZ - buy at 22.5c and sell at 50c
- $122,182 profit
AVZO - buy at 19.5c and sell at 47c
- $140,985 profit
You can send a cheque in at any time and covert to heads as well.
I've made a lot of money over the years on oppies (SSNO, ANPO etc often being 5-10 bags with early entry) and equally so, lost a fair bit when I didn't manage the opportunity, but with the above situation of a long expiry and rising SP it make me sleep well at night.
Dyor of course.
Cheers,
Wilson!
