Regarding the xmas rally, it'll be interesting to read paddingtonbears's notes on the DT pre-market tomorrow morning. The macro chart specialist is cautiously optimistic at this point, but the self inflicted inflation hamstring continues to be flogged about to stifle any sustained market appreciation. I think she generally posts on the brains trust forum, but visits the DT most Mondays pre-market.
