Nah they are related and do follow each other somewhat. There is strong correlation but not causality.
I've seen the BAY.V absolutely fly on a AW1 TH, then come back to earth after AW1 ann.
It's likely IMO that Storm related matters are at the heart of the BAY.V SP spike over night ( up 33.5%)
Both are up considerably in the last month.
BAY.V is up ~ 83% & AW1 up ~ 33% for month.
