"ASX 200 futures are trading 22 points higher, up 0.28% as of 8:30 am AEDT.

The S&P 500 slipped overnight from a record reached in the previous session, gold prices kick on after a pullback, copper prices break out above the key US$4.0 level, Macquarie downgraded three of the four big banks to Underperform, the Australian government is set to underwrite $1.1 billion in loans to support the rare earths and lithium industryand oil prices push towards four-month highs."
