You nailed it at the end. Things are not perfect here, but in a world of lifestyle companies on the ASX you are completely right about there being "many, many" of them. Some seriously f*ed shit occurs on the ASX and while AW1 has not done everything perfectly they are very far away from being a lifestyle company. Active attempts (some successful some unsuccessful) at increasing shareholder value are made here and that's exactly what you want as an investor.
It's not fair for people to blast management when shit happens like the fires screwing up last years plans, of course it's shit and lead to sub-optimal outcomes for all of us but it's a new year and let's see how things go this year.
As of now I am very happy that they are aggressively exploring and not running a lifestyle company. That should be applauded, I know it's the obvious minimum but remember we are in the spec end of the ASX and companies actually trying is not common.
